Losing your crisp jawline can show your age like nothing else. Not many areas of the body show a person’s age more than the lower face.
Alright so I'm not that old. I'm 49 with two kids. I don't know when exactly but some time during the past few years I started to notice the skin around my cheeks drooping. Like really drooping.
On top of that the skin around my jawline began to sag (jowls).
Let’s face it: droopy skin may be adorable on Pugs and Basset Hounds, but not so much on people. Nobody wants to have loose skin on their face.
"What gives?" I thought to myself. I knew that getting older would mean more wrinkles and fine lines. But nothing could have prepared me for this!
I spent hours browsing online forums and asking my aesthetician for solutions. But this is the part that frustrated me the most. Every article I read was telling me the best way to prevent jowls. But there was very little information on what to do after you have them!
I tried everything under the sun. Retinoids, hyaluronic acid, Niacinimide serum, and nothing worked. I even tried things like Gua Sha and facial yoga routines on YouTube and they didn't do the trick either.
It looked like my only option was going to be a face lift. But not only were they super expensive in my area, I just wasn't ready to commit to something like that.
I started to panic. I feared that the sagging skin on my face might never snap back and tighten again. I was stressed, anxious, and terrified that I was going to be stuck with my droopy, sagging face for the rest of my life and it was only going to get worse as I got older.
But thankfully I stumbled upon this revolutionary new device that offered an inexpensive and non-invasive way to tighten and tone the sagging skin on my face!
It's called the Jowls Buddy by a startup skincare company called Nutriskin. It's a new facial toning solution that helps to tighten, tone, and contour the face to tighten and firm sagging skin on the chin, cheeks, and jawline. It's pretty new on the market so not many people have heard about it yet.
It uses what's called microcurrent technology which has often been called the "non-invasive face lift". Top facialists and celebrities like Jennifer Anniston and Kate Hudson swear by it's skin tightening effects. It sounded gimmicky to me at first, but it's actually been around since the 1970s originally being used by Doctor Thomas Wing to treat a condition called Bell's Palsy. Although he failed, he found improvements to the skin in his patients like improved skin tone and complexion.
You've probably seen tons of microcurrent devices on the market. But none of them target the jawline, cheeks, and chin the way the Jowls Buddy does. It was a no-brainer for me!
Did you know there are there are 43 muscles in the face that are directly connected to the skin? Microcurrent devices work by delivering a gentle electrical current to the muscles and skin cells.
This gentle energy wave is similar to your body's natural ionic flow. It has been shown to increase ATP (our body's cellular energy) while also promoting the synthesis of key structural proteins like collagen and elastin. As we age, our skin's ability to naturally produce these proteins decreases, which leads to multiple signs of aging like wrinkles and sagging skin.
ATP's increased production of proteins and amino acids during facial stimulation helps to energize and tone facial muscles over time—just like how exercise energizes and strengthens the muscles on our body.
The facial muscles, unlike anywhere else on the body, are directly connected to the skin, so energizing the facial muscles often leads to a smoother, lifted appearance.
But, what does this all mean? Simply put, microcurrent sends soft, gentle waves through the skin to the facial muscles. This gentle wave energizes the facial muscles and increases the production of collagen and elastin, leading to a tighter, more toned, and firmer appearance of the skin!
"Does it look silly on my face? Yeah... but SO WHAT. I love the results I've seen from this. yes, for me i like the strongest setting, but i had my mom try it and it felt too strong. also, i noticed more improvement when using it for about 10-15 minutes. if you're not into facials and med spas and just want to be able to treat jowls while watching netflix, BUY this!"

"I've been using it for a few weeks and I love the results already! I can see why this went viral. I'm much happier treating at home than going to the med spa (which are fairly expensive in my area). happy with my purchase and would recommend to anyone!"
